Why the Hell not?
I've been advocating for a skatepark in Troutdale for the last 5 years. According to the parks committee this is a 5-8 year process and we are almost there!
But a park doesn't just magically appear. We need community support, people to stand up and speak out, and as much involvement as we can get. There's already city money set aside to survey the land near Imagination Station but that's not enough. A park can be upwards of $100,000 or more depending on its size. So, that being said, we need your help.
When Imagination Station burnt down, the rebuild brought 3.9 thousand followers to Facebook, over $125,000 was raised in materials and donations and hundreds of volunteers helped to rebuild the structure over the course of a few weeks. Skaters need to band together to do the same. We can't do this alone!
